I have ordered my third pilgrim sandwich on a portuguese roll and this time it is just as fresh as the first! so if you ever get a sandwich from there that isn't quite right please, please give them another chance. One if the best in town !!!!
I was in town for a work meeting. I dont spend much time on the East Coast. When i am there are a few things i look for. On this trip i was looking for an amazing Italian Sub. I was not suprised by Genes Variety. The sub start ed on a fresh roll and loaded with fresh ingredients. Their provolone is some of the best i have evere had. The service was second to none. Their were 3 young men behind the sandwi g counter ready to take my order. They werr very nice and answered all of my questions and took my order. The sandwich was made in a timely manner. I was suprised that Gene still made their own pop, so i added a cane sugar Root Beer.
The food is good....We order subs from Gene's and they are very fresh, delicious and inexpensive.
I've said previously that i absolutely love the food and sandwiches here. however, i always get the same sandwich, no modifications and yet TWICE i've received my food missing 1/3 of the ingredients. First time i figured it was an honest mistake, but twice and both times missing the same ingredient, i'm a bit annoyed.
Best subs!!!! If you like tuna subs, the one with potato chips is delicious. Haven't had a sub I didn't love there. Small family business who treats everyone with a smile. Call your order in, they get very busy.

Attention sandwich lovers. When in Milford you must visit this great Italian specialty and local variety store dating back to the 1940's I've tried many sandwiches here and my go to is the Italian. No one in the area compares to this delicious sub sandwich. They offer a variety of sheet pizza slices - first come first serve Homemade Italian lunch specials for grab and go. Homemade pies from Apple to lemon meringue pie, piled highhh Imported pastas and other specialties Go see for yourself - what are you waiting for !!!! Enjoy !!
Great food. Reasonable prices. What more could you want? It's a mom and pop place that is appreciated by and frequented by the locals.
Subs/sandwiches are great . Made to order with fresh deli ingredients. Some of their prepackaged items are a little pricey. The 4 's is because their steak and cheese was awful , deserves to be in the sub hall of shame . Stick with the cold cuts .
